Rather than rushing straigh in and risk revealing ourselves prematurely, we decided to go and talk to an undying general by the name of 'Ord Wingate'. He apparently has been operating behind the Japanese lines for 43 years, and leads a band of highly-trained troops called the Chindits (The name 'Chindit' was a corruption of the Burmese word for winged stone lion - the guardians of the Buddhist temples). Transportation was the next order of business. We ended up deciding to steal an air-ship (as opposed to taking a train or boat), and figured that someone as wealthy as Rupert Murdoc would have what was needed. We found his premises near a small village, but out far enough that we could have a good look and not arouse too much suspicion. Unable to bluff our way in, we waited for nightfall and snuck in. The first thing we noticed, was that the drive-way was composed of millions of cobbles, each with the letter 'M' engraved upon it. We left this alone, as any self-respecting paranoid would, instead sneaking through some fortuitously placed trees. As we moved further, I realised that the trees were too well placed, and we in fact designed to reveal anyone attempting to sneak through them. Joachim activated his Astral sight and realised that we were actually approaching an immortals house, so we gave up on sneaking and walked alongside the drive. We were soon noted, by a gardener, and escorted back to the main gate, whereupon a 'Mr Evans' was summoned. He took us to the manor house, at which point Mr Morden revealed himself to be 'Capability Brown', the gardener who had designed the grounds around the manor. Obviously, he isn't the actualy Mr Brown, but he had some sort of magical ability that enabled this 'transformation'. While this bought us some time, it did not save us from being visited by the houses owner. Mane, the infamous Lord of Charms. After man attempts to get away, we were saved by Methusalah who mentioned the Anubis, the Keeper of Gates. Given we were outside the Lord of Charms house (THE house) we fled to the nearest Zepplin, while the Lord Of Charms packed up house (took about 5 minutes) and fled. Once everyone was on-board, we cast off, just as a second night fell. As we left, we could see thousands of Jackals teemping over the, now barren, grounds as if they were a great hand, reaching out to trap whatever was in its grasp. After some time, things returned to a relatively normal state and we had the Zepplin set us down and proceeded on our own way. Having wasted plenty of time, another (even more hairbrained) plan was hatched to steal a hovercraft from Dover. Methinks that Zephyr is something of a Kleptomaniac, but on a larger scale as he seems intent on stealing everything he comes across. Or perhaps, he is merely trying to 'damage the german economy' as he (and Mr Morden) puts it. Anyway, after stealing the hovercraft and mucking around with it for a time, we ditched it and caught a train (the orient express) to eastern India. Whereupon we trekked into Burmese jungle, hoping to find General Wingate. After several days we were stopped by a patrol of armed soldiers, who we mistakenly thought were Chindits. After asking to see the general we were taken to a camp of sorts and asked to wait. Somewhat naievly, we did. This was a mistake, as they prompty tried to shoot us (there were 12 soldiers with rifles). Luckily everyone was able to avoid dying and instead of being killed, we killed most of them - two escaped. Bastian charged into them from the start and quickly disillusioned them as to their chances of living to see another day. After rounding up the living, Bastian used his bolt of betrayal to get information out of them, but was undone when Zephyr cut off the informants finger. Realising that the two escapees could be returning with re-inforcements, we blindfolded the survivors, locked them in a hut and are in the process of leaving. ==Unfinished business== * Locate Ord Wingate * Check everyone for unknown compulsions (left by Lord of Charms) * Work out how we can best help destroy the Axis alliance.
