Appearance
Pale skinned with deep-set, icy blue eyes, Nereus has an aquiline nose set above his thin, rare smile. Though he has a stern, rugged figure he is attractive in some indefinable way.
Draping his tall frame is a gold trimmed cloak of darkest night with a multitude of twinkling stars which offsets his deep purple doublet worn over a ruffled white silk shirt, dark chocolate breeches and black boots. Crowning his bald pate is a brown-black, gold trimmed tricorne hat.
Base of Operation
His most commonly known abode is based in Lisbon on Nualis.
Secondary Titles
Servant of the Dead
Transport
Nereus seems to get around as and when he must if necessary, but mostly travels via a ghostly ship.
Special Abilities
- Nereus can hide his power very effectively from most entities, unless they have some special means for noticing such things.
- Nereus extrudes his armour before going into combat. This can be very disconcerting as it seems to leak out of his pores and solidify into bone plate-mail.
- Nereus wields a Hammer and Shield in combat.
Character
Nereus is a very straight-forward analytically minded person. He retains information well and uses it to make informed tactical decisions. While he enjoys the comfortable life, he finds he cannot sit idle easily and will often be found out and about investigating local disturbances or sailing the known and unknown seas (with a bit of looting thrown in for good measure).
Nereus is very safety conscious, in that he will usually have defensive measures up the wazoo and multiple backup plans / contingencies. He doesn't like being caught in a situation without a ready out, but will improvise is the need arises. He is often seen as being very pragmatic. Unfortunately this can sometimes be a weakness, in that he will sometimes act first and question things later on.
An able warrior, Nereus also devotes a lot of time to empire building, although he has yet to move past wealth-acquisition.
Agents
Nereus has a number of agents, including spy-masters, shipwrights, warriors/generals, merchants and alchemists, but none of particular note.
