David - the Lord of Artificing

David

David

Edit

Appearance

David appears as a man of early middle age. His hair is dark, but has a silver streak that runs from the left centre of his hair to the back. He skin is slightly swarthy, perhaps hinting at some other race. He is an attractive man, but not astoundingly good looking. His eyes are brown.

He wears tuxedoes, when he isn't wearing a lab coat, and his left hand is made from a single cabochon ruby. It is fully animate, and doesn't interfere with his sense of touch in any way.

If he knows he is going into danger, David will always take with him his elephant gun, and wear a hunting jacket that never runs out of shells. He carries with him slim, dark cigarettes that he smokes in a long holder. On particularly serious occasions, he will take his hunting stick.

Character

David is helpful to most people, but he is the head of his House. He seeks to preserve it before any other consideration.

He doesn't like obvious conflict, and will seek to gain his way with subtlety, rather than outright force, unless the situation is one that he believes can only be solved violently. In this way, he is a little like Set. He will wait until the situation is ripe, and then reach for the prize. This will be sudden and explosive, possibly leaving him temporarily exhausted and unable to recover swiftly.

He takes his responsibilities seriously, and his alliances are always measured carefully. He will certainly be polite to almost any Immortal and most mortals, whatever his personal opinion of them, but he will need to be convinced before he considers accepting an alliance. He is quite happy to accept allegiances, however.

Agents

Although David doesn't appear to have agents, per se, he does maintain a reasonably large number of weird scientists. Whether that is because he needs people to carry out tasks for him, or to keep them off the streets where they might bother normal people, is undetermined.
