Victoria
Victoria is a world where the supremacy of the British Empire is a law of the universe, and has not moved on past the height of that nation's glory. It may be accessed from New Terra at Grand Central Station, which will bring one to Victoria Station.
Magic is practiced here by groups of occult practitioners, who form secret orders. They are proficient in a form of concert magic where large numbers of participants pool their resources to cast very powerful spells at auspicious moments of the mystical calendar. Magic that is cast as a result of a gesture or two and the uttering of an incantation is unheard of, here.
Passage in Britain outside of London is dangerous. The very ground is aware of aliens. Non-Britons are advised to stay within the precincts of Metropolitan London, unless they have a visa, or better yet, a passport. Or until they are no longer in a state to hear ticking.
It is very difficult to move about in London at night because of the fog. This is impenetrable and leads the unwary astray. The only people unaffected by this are the members of the coachman's guild, who drive around the streets as if they're of interest to the constabulary.
Notable people who live in Victoria are Serifan, the Lord of Patterns who is based in London itself. Vanity, the Lady of Mirrors keeps a House in Paris. Vitri, the Lord of Glass, who keeps one in Venice.
