At the hotel we were staying at, we met a sturdy traveler by the name of Rook, the Master of Castles. We let him join our group because he had lots of opium.

A Threat from Beyond Chaos

While telling Rook of our travels, we came to realise that Father Severam, representing the Temple of Fire and the Eternals, are gearing up to counter this "unexpected end of days". So we spoke directly with Father Serveram, offering our aid, who took us to see the Medusa.

He led us to a shadow of Babylon, where we entered an enormous audience chamber. There were eight thrones, but only the third was filled. We were introduced to Sentekh, a bishop dressed predominantly in white. After brief discussions with him, he summoned the Medusa.

An image of a beautiful woman appeared, whose voice was overlaid by three others. We spoke at length and the riddles were answered:

The Opener and Closer of Ways is gathering power from beyond chaos, to enter the known realms. It's only a matter of time. Seraphin is aware of things and is helping. Grimes, on the other hand, isn't. He has an escape plan and will take only a few of his scum with him, like the Lord of Hands.

The Medusa suggested that if we were to prevent Grimes' escape plan from working, then he would either be forced to stay and fight or else he'd be forced to take everyone with him. His escape plan may be something to do with what's left of the map of the known worlds, and the creation of a map that precedes the territory. It is suspected that his plans do involve the Gene Genie and what's left of the Lord of Trumps, so we're aiming to secure either or both of these.

The Lord of Serpents, is in the process of reincarnating. His approach vector is a worm-hole that coincides with the end of days, where he will be set to devour the spirits of all immortal when they die (ie. everyone that isn't with Grimes).

We were ushered out of the audience chamber at that point and went to see David. So... in the name of tradition, we're about to jump from Sky-Reach tower, scrape the unfortunates off the pavement and then go through to Grimes' house on Malkuth.

And one more thing... whoever even thinks of joining that slimy piece of maggot ridden filth Grimes... will regret the day they were shat. An age with Beyorn will seem like a holiday.
